Arlene Eleanor Schiniger

December 13, 1928 — August 8, 2013

Arlene E. Schiniger, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.

She was born on December 13, 1928, in LeRoy Township to Wallace and Etta Klebs Prust.

Arlene attended Waupun schools and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun, where she served on different committees and belonged to the Lydia Circle bible study.

On June 21, 1947, she married Eugene D. Schiniger of Beaver Dam.
After her marriage, they moved to Beaver Dam where she worked at the Madison Street Shoe Factory. In 1953, Arlene and Eugene moved to Waupun where Arlene worked at Huth James Shoe Factory and later McGregor SandKnit.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene “Jake”; a son, Lance (Char) Schiniger; two daughters: Gwen (Greg) McDowell and Robyn (Mike) Pluim; four granddaughters: Rhenna (Allan) Krentz, Tessa (Jared) Oosterhouse, Devan and Hailey Pluim; a step-grandson, Brian (Missy) Loeck; a great-grandson, Kameron Krentz; a great-granddaughter, Ella Oosterhouse; a step-great-granddaughter, Gabby Loeck;
a step-great-grandson, Max Loeck; a sister, Audrey Tappendorf; and a sister-in-law, Mary Prust.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 625 W. Main Street, Waupun, with Rev. Elizabeth Lee officiating. The visitation will be on Monday at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
