Frances Ethel Darnick, 84, of Waupun passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014 at the Markesan Residential Home.
Frances was born June 13, 1930 in Waupun, Wisconsin, a daughter of Joseph and Edna (Marshall) Wrzesinske. On September 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Alex Darnick in Waupun, WI. Frances was employed with Sand Knit Industries of Waupun for many years. She enjoyed baking, traveling, camping and sewing. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers. She had an excellent memory and was often able to recall many interesting facts and history of Waupun. She was a puzzle fanatic, took pleasure in her gardening and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by five children; David (Barb) Darnick of Oshkosh, Dennis (Sharon) Darnick of Minnesota, Derry (Sheri) Darnick of Waupun, Doug (Debbie) Darnick of Beaver Dam and Diane (Walter) Luttenberger of Waupun. A daughter-in-law Linda Darnick of Waupun, 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex (1983), a son Donny Darnick (2007), and a brother Dick Wrzesinske.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 with Rev. David Greenfield at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 118 West Main Street, Waupun. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Frances’ family will receive friends and relatives from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday, August 2, 2014.
A memorial fund has been directed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many care givers at Waupun Memorial Hospital and Markesan Residential Home that made her transition a peaceful one.
