Gordon Eugene Mielke, age 72, of Waupun passed away on September 22, 2014.

Gordon was born on February 11, 1942 in Fox Lake, WI, a son of Edmund and Verna (Rake) Mielke. He was a graduate of Fox Lake High School. He was a farmer all his life and loved to work on his tractors. He was very mechanical with his hands and helped out a lot of people whenever he could. Gordon was very good with numbers, mechanics and enjoyed telling jokes to people.

Gordon is survived by a sister, Carol (Glen) Weaver of Arizona; a brother, Dennis Mielke of Waupun, two nieces, Nancy Mertz of Beaver Dam and Linda Mertz of Pardeeville; and a brother-in-law, Otto Mertz of Beaver Dam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marlene Mertz and a brother, Ronald Mielke.

A celebration of Gordon’s life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, at 10:00 A.M with Pastor Robert Love officiating. A committal service will follow at Mackford Union Cemtery.

Gordon’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Kohls Community Funeral Home and on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

A memorial fund has been established in Gordon’s Name.
