Beverly Onay Winger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at Markesan Residence Home.

Beverly was born on October 9, 1936, in Manchester, Wisconsin, to Adolph and Lily Wuerch (née Kelm). She grew up in Manchester and remained there until age 18, when she moved to Milwaukee and began her career with Standard Oil. It was there she met her bowling partner and future husband, Robert S. Winger. The two were married in 1958 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manchester, beginning a partnership rooted in love, laughter, and deep devotion.

Following their wedding, Beverly and Bob moved to Neenah, Wisconsin, where Bob began his career with Kimberly-Clark. Together, they built their home on Henry Street in 1962, where they raised their son, David, and created countless cherished memories.

Beverly’s heart grew even fuller with the birth of her granddaughter, Kirsten — the light of her life and her best friend. Beverly’s love for her family was fierce and unwavering; she cared deeply for those she loved and always gave more of herself than she ever expected in return. She was the matriarch of her family — strong, nurturing, and endlessly selfless.

After Bob’s passing in 2016, Beverly and her son David shared a special bond, spending nearly every day together. Her life was a testament to the power of care, loyalty, and family devotion.

In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed dancing to big band music, spending time with friends and roommates in Milwaukee, and bowling with Bob. Many treasured memories were also made at the horse track with Bob and their brother- and sister-in-law. Over the years, she held various positions at Standard Oil, American Can, Arctic Distributors, and Overhead Door, making many life-long friends, and bringing her trademark dedication and kindness to every role.

Beverly was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manchester, and later became a proud 60+ year member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Neenah. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Adolph and Lily Wuerch; her brother, Merrill; sister-in-law, Alice Winger; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Kimball.

Beverly is survived by her son, David (Renee) Winger; granddaughter, Kirsten (Jake) Trundle; great-granddaughter, Sloan Trundle; sister, Karren Kimball; brother-in-law, Duane Winger; sister-in-law, Audrey Wuerch; and several nieces and nephews. She was also a cherished step-grandmother and great-grandmother to Meghan, Bryer, Emery, and Bryer Pingel, as well as Lauren and Ben Johnson.

Per Beverly’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held to celebrate her long and loving life, with interment next spring at Manchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Neenah, Wisconsin.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring team at Markesan Residence Home and to Janine and team from SSM Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

Beverly’s life was defined by love — for her family, her friends, and her faith. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
