Brigid Ann Palmer, age 66 of Montello, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Brigid was born on August 7, 1959, in Bronx, NY, daughter of Ralph and Christine (Stelzl) Wobig. She was known as a dedicated hard worker. Her commitment to her job was matched only by her devotion to her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories through camping trips at the campground and countless road trips filled with laughter and love.
In her free time, Brigid enjoyed gardening, showcasing her green thumb with a variety of beautiful plants. She was also an avid reader who found joy in immersing herself in books. Brigid had a knack for puzzles and crossword challenges that kept her mind sharp and brought her respite in her leisure hours.
Brigid’s personality shone brightest when she was surrounded by her family, with whom she created an unforgettable bond. Her life revolved around her loved ones, and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her spirit will be dearly missed, but her legacy of family, hard work, and joy will continue to inspire many.
She is survived by her children, Christine (Todd) Scharhag and Valinda Scharhag; grandchildren, Amelia and Isabella, Jaquann and Tyrone, Shazaya and Jacari; her sister Constance (Michael) and her brother Jim (Julie); further survived by her significant other Mike G., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son Kalvin Scharhag and her parents.
