Carol (Stiemsma) Nehmer

Apr 8, 1936 — Nov 2, 2026

Randolph

The Henry and Sarah (DeVries) family was made complete in Heaven with the death of their last child on November 2, 2026, Oh how happy “Mooka” must be to rejoin them all in the glories of our Lord.

Carol, affectionally called Mooka by many, was born on April 8, 1936. She attended Randolph Christian School and graduated from Randolph High School in 1954. She joined the work force at Rockwell and continued there until they ceased business. As a woman in her young forties, she decided to go back to school and became a CNA graduating from Moraine Park Technical School. She worked until retirement at Clearview Nursing home, on many different floors, and very often worked double shifts.

She loved attending all events her grandkids participated in. Perhaps this is where her love of watching sports on TV came from. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, watching the birds (but not the squirrels), tinkering in her flower beds, collecting vintage head vases and beanie babies, and hosting the neighborhood ladies to, nearly daily, coffee clutches on her front porch.

She is survived by her sons Richard (Kathy) Nehmer and Henry (Kathy) Nehmer, grandchildren Ryan (Gina) Nehmer, Shaun Nehmer, Brandon (Jessica) Nehmer and Caitlyn (Jon) Anderson. Great grandchildren, Jeter and Stella Nehmer, Addison and Gavin Nehmer, and Louis and Eloise Anderson. She is also survived by sister-in-law Debra Stiemsma and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Gordon, Roger, and Louis, and sisters Florence Tobak and Betty Hull. As we decorate our Christmas trees while listening to Christmas music, we will always fondly remember Mooka’s love for the holiday.
