Randolph

Charles LeRoy Murray, age 82 of Randolph, formerly of Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Randolph Heath Services.

Charles was born in Charlestown, WI, on August 1, 1944, son of James and Nellie (Bowe) Murray. Charles lived a life shaped by hard work, service, and the people he loved. He enlisted in the Army and served from 1962 to 1965. After his time in the military, he worked at the Tecumseh Engine in New Holstein. In June of 2002, he was united in marriage to Barb Zahn in Fond du Lac, WI.

Charles enjoyed staying busy and had a gift for fixing things, often putzing around with just about anything. He owned a few cabins and hotels up north, places that reflected his love of the outdoors and time spent with others. He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, fishing, traveling, and camping with family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan. More than anything, Charles loved his grandchildren and treasured the time he spent with them.

He will be remembered as a giving man, even through his stubbornness, and for the way he shared his time and interests with those around him. His life was filled with adventure, work, and many moments alongside family and friends.

Charles is survived by his two sons, James (Dory) Murray and Douglas (Michele) Murray and his daughter, Michele (Cameron) Sims; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; his sister, Faye (Chuck) Fairneny; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barb Murray; Theresa (Robert) Meyer and his great granddaughter, Dakota Brown.

The family extends a special thank you to SSM Hospice, and to Kelsey, Bill, and BB at Randolph Health Services, for the wonderful care given to Charles during his time at the nursing home.

A private celebration of Charles a life will be held.
