Christine Ann Hetrick, age 75, of Fox Lake, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 21, 2025, with her loving husband by her side.
Christine was born on April 20, 1950, in Phelps, Wisconsin, daughter of Harold and Shirley (Zinzow) Dain. Chris dedicated ten years as a secretary for St. Alberts and Our Lady of Good Hope. She was united in marriage to Dale Hetrick on January 1, 1994, in Green Lake, WI. In 1991, they moved to Fox Lake where she actively managed her husband’s printing business until 2006. Her commitment to her community was evident as she took on the role of working the election polls in Fox Lake.
Known for her loving and caring nature, Chris cherished socializing and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, often found sitting outdoors with Dale, surrounded by beauty and music, or relishing winters in Florida together. Chris had a passion for gardening, nurturing her flowers with great love, and found joy in playing solitaire and crossword puzzles.
Chris is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Hetrick; her two sons, Andy (Lauren) Groth and Daniel Groth; her two stepchildren, Sheri (Tim) Steinle and Alan (Danuta) Hetrick; two grandchildren, Rachel Groth and A.J. Groth. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents and her son in infancy, David Stephen Groth.
A Celebration of Christine’s life will be held at the American Legion in Fox Lake 220 West State Street, WI on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
