Cory Joe Schultz, age 44 years 3 months and 20 days of Randolph, WI, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Randolph on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
A celebration of Cory’s life will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Savanna Oaks Community Center 100 Savanna Road Fall River, WI 53932. Cory will receive his last ride and a chance for everyone to say their final goodbyes. In honor of his passion for the open road, the family invites all who attend to wear their favorite Harley-Davidson gear. A private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
Cory was born on June 3, 1981, in Beaver Dam, WI, son of Jerry Schultz and Carla (Kohlmeyer) Gilbertson. He was a man full of life, laughter, and love. Cory was known for his vibrant personality; he was truly the life of the party. His infectious sense of humor brought joy to those around him, always making people laugh and smile.
Cory's educational journey began at Fox Lake and South Beaver Dam grade schools, and he later graduated with his HSED from Moraine Park. He pursued various certifications, including Industrial Refrigeration Operator I, Introduction to Industrial Maintenance, and Introduction to Welding. Throughout his career, Cory explored many different fields, finding opportunities in Maintenance, Roofing, Mechanics, and as an electrician. He was always skilled with his hands; if something needed building or fixing, Cory was the go-to person who could make anything run again.
Cory had a wide range of hobbies and interests that reflected his life. He loved spending time fishing on his pontoon boat, watching football while rooting for the Packers, and riding his Harley. Snowmobiling and playing pool were also among his favorite pastimes. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his kids and family, creating lasting memories that will forever be held dear.
Cory's cheerful spirit and bright smile lit up every room he entered. He was a beloved friend and family member who could turn a dull day into an adventure. His legacy of laughter, love, and hard work lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy he brought into our lives.
Cory is survived by his mother, Carla Gilbertson and stepfather Rodney Gilbertson, his father, Jerry (Sherri) Schultz, his children, Damian Schultz, Dayton Schultz, Kayla Schultz, Ashtyn Schultz, Mya Blanchard and Kinze Schultz. Two brothers, Jason (Maura) Schultz and Jeremy (Amber) Schultz; his grandmother, Elaine Kohlmeyer; his grandsons, Xavier-Amire Perry and Ezekiel Schultz; the mothers of his children, Terra Hensler and Kattie Camara; and his beloved dog, Finnegan. Cory is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
Cory was preceded in death by the mother of his son, Damian, Elizabeth “Liz” Goff; his maternal grandfather, Charles Kohlmeyer; his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Lucille Schultz, his uncle David Schultz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family would be appreciated.
