Daniel "Dan" Christopher Hilleman

Daniel Christopher Hilleman, age 60 of Waupun, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Dan was born on November 10, 1964, in Hibbing Minnesota, son of Kenneth and Mary Lou (Leach) Hilleman. He was a graduate of Menomonee Falls East High School, class of 1983. Dan enlisted and proudly served in the Army from 1983-1986. He was a dedicated employee at Eagle Flexible Packaging Inc. of Waupun, where he enjoyed working alongside his coworkers and appreciated the trust and friendships that he developed over the years. Throughout his life, Dan demonstrated dedication not just at work, but in all that he pursued.

Dan had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought joy to his life. He loved playing games with family and friends, whether it was backgammon, sheepshead, risk, or croquet. He had a special bond with his daughters, with whom he always looked forward to tackling a good video game.

In his leisure time, Dan found great pleasure in duck hunting, listening to rock music, and was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He will be remembered for his love of family, his friendly spirit, and his unwavering dedication to his work and the love he shared with those around him.

Dan is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly (David Leonard) Mills and Abbey (Kevin Wiegand) Hilleman; four siblings, Michael (Lauri Gaedtke) Hilleman, John (Anita) Hilleman, Kathy (Keith) Stoney and David Hilleman; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Barry Hilleman and numerous friends and loved ones.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Legion Bar 130 N. State Street, Waupun, WI 53963.
