Debra Ann White, age 72 of Markesan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Markesan Resident Home.
Debra was born on November 21, 1952, daughter of Elmer and Florence (Henke) Hutter. She was a graduate of Markesan High School, class of 1971. Debra’s early life set a foundation for the kindness and generosity that would define her. She was united in marriage to Dennis White on November 6, 1971, at County Line Lutheran Church, Markesan. In 1976, she and her husband purchased the family farm in Fox Lake, building a life there filled with hard work and love.
Debra was known for her loving and caring nature. She devoted herself to caring for her grandchildren throughout the years, as well as offering her support to many local families up until 2019. Her warm heart and helping hands made a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
In her free time, Debra enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader and found great joy in gardening. She also cherished attending her grandchildren's school events, often juggling multiple activities in a single day, showing her enthusiasm and dedication as a grandmother. Once a month, she looked forward to girls' night out, sharing laughter and memories with close friends.
Debra will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her dedication to family and friends, and her joyful approach to life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of many.
Debra is survived by her three children, Danielle (Clark Jr.) Buchanan, Trisha White and Michael (Faye) White; eight grandchildren, Katelynn Gauger, McKenzie Gauger, Addison Gauger, Remington Posthuma, Brea Posthuma, Brady White, Carley White and Riley White; sister, Bev (David) Burbach and her brother, Dennis Hutter; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis in 2002; parents, paternal and maternal grandparents and mother and father-in-law.
Visitation for Debra will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at County Line Lutheran Church W10505 County Road AW, Markesan, WI 53946.
A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at church with Rev. David Abuya officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
