Delores Krueger

Delores LaVerne Krueger, age 91, passed away on Monday, March 18th, 2024, at Crossroads Care Center in Fond du Lac where she has been a resident for the past several years.

Delores was born on March 27th, 1932, at St Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac to Paul and Helen (Shady) Redman.  She graduated from Oakfield High School.  Delores married Rodney A Krueger at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakfield on January 28th, 1951.

Delores worked at Wells Mfg. Corp for 33 years in the factory.  She also held the board of directors' position at Wells Employee Credit Union as treasurer/president.  She retired on March 27th, 1994.  After her retirement she continued to work at K-Mart part-time. No matter what job she did she worked extremely hard.

Delores loved her flowers and flower gardens.  She was a member of the following:  Fond du Lac Iris Society, American Hemerocallis Society, American Hosta Society, North American Rock Garden Society, Wisconsin and Illinois Rock Garden Society, American Horticultural Society, and National Gardening Club.  She served as president on the board of directors of the Fond du Lac Iris, Daylily, and Garden Society.

Delores was an excellent cook.  It was hard to top her holiday meals.  At Christmas time the grandchildren loved to bake Christmas cookies with her.  She liked to read, do word searches, and make puzzles.

Delores is survived by two sons, James (Rhonda) Krueger and Michael (Julie) Krueger, both of Rosendale; and one daughter Barbara Hollander, Brandon.  Five granddaughters; Angel (Dan) Belovarac, Nebraska; Ashley (Zach) Caspary, Rosendale; Amanda (Brian) Fryman, Oakfield; Brooke (Collin) Floeter, Waupun; Courtney Hollander, Brandon; one grandson Joel (Heather) Hollander, Brandon.  Further survived by seven great-granddaughters, Daniele, Zoe, Roxanne Belovarac; Kennedy Floeter; Emma Caspary; Brinley and Lainey Hollander; two great-grandsons; Chase Fryman; Landon Floeter.  A brother Donald and his wife Tommy Redman of Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney in 2006. Son-in-law, Tom Hollander. A granddaughter Dawn Ward, parents Paul and Helen Redman and an infant brother Paul Jr.  Her sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Kenneth Toll.  Mother and father-in-law, Art and Alice Krueger.  Sister and brother-in-law, Audray and Wayne Kaufman.  Sister and brother-in-law, Merlyn and Joyce Krueger.

Special thanks for the care and attention given to Delores at Crossroads Care Center by Frank, Julie, and Nancy and also the staff at St. Croix Hospice.  Memorials can be made to St. Croix Hospice.

Funeral services will be 12:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, N5680 Towne Road Rosendale with the Rev Kimberly Stowell officiating.  Burial will follow at Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the hour of services.
