Dorothy Rena De Jager (nee Ringnalda) age 92, of Randolph, met her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Randolph Health Services surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born on December 30, 1933, in Bellflower, California, to parents Reinder Theunis “Ren” and Dieuwke “Dorothy” (Vander Kooi) Ringnalda. Dorothy was raised in Lynden, WA, where she graduated from Lynden High School. After high school, Dorothy worked as a telephone operator in Mt. Vernon, WA. There she met her husband Dirk De Jager, who immigrated to the US from Holland in 1947. They were married on December 30, 1953, at the Christian Reformed Church in Mt. Vernon, WA. They moved to Randolph, Wisconsin with their 4 sons in 1960. In Wisconsin, they had their 2 daughters. They were married for 57 years before Dirk passed away in 2011.

Dorothy was a stay-at-home mother until their youngest was in school. She then worked at Rockwell of Randolph, Cambria Canning Factory, and then became a CNA. Dorothy worked at Wyocena Nursing Home, Randolph Continental Manor, and Juneau Care Center where she retired in 1999. After retirement, she would join her husband as he drove Amish families to various events or vacations. Dorothy loved reading, having coffee with her neighbors, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her grandkids. She was even known as “Grandma” to her grandkid’s friends. She was also on the bowling league for many years and enjoyed dancing with her husband Dirk. Dorothy was well loved by many people and was an incredibly compassionate woman who always placed others before herself. She was a lifelong faithful member of Second Christian Reformed Church of Randolph where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.

Dorothy is survived by her 4 sons, Fredrick De Jager, Gerald (Annette) De Jager, Michael De Jager, Douglas (Deborah) De Jager, all of Randolph; two daughters, Doreen (Rodney) Wolc, Beaver Dam, and Denise (Lenny) Fischer, Randolph; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dorothy is further survived by sisters-in-law, Etta Schregardus, Randolph, and Ellen Ringnalda, Vancouver, WA; brother-in-law, John (Arlene) De Jager, Waupun. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dirk De Jager; parents; an infant son, Dirk Jr.; daughter-in-law, Emma De Jager; twin brother, Thomas Ringnalda; sister, Ruby Zegers; sister-in-law, Barbara (Albert) Vinkes; in-laws, Eldon (Betty) De Jager, Frank (Katherine) De Jager, Lambert (Bessie) De Jager and Gert (Harold) Mulder.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Second Christian Reformed Church, 332 Tamarack Street, Randolph WI, 53956.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at church with Rev. Keith Buist officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Randolph Health Services for the excellent care for our mom the 2 ½ years that she was there. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to Hillside Hospice Team for being a comfort at the end. Dorothy loved all the staff that took care of her.
