Evelyn Dorothy Walsh, age 103, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. Born on June 12, 1922, in Milwaukee, she was the beloved daughter of Paul Heinrich and Elsa Tesch Heinrich.
Evelyn grew up alongside her two older brothers, Paul Heinrich, known as Ernie, and Lorenz Heinrich, known as Lory. She later married the love of her life, Melvin John Walsh, and together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and adventure. They were blessed with two children, Keith Wayne Walsh and Juanita Marie Walsh-Rowan.
Evelyn found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved baking for family gatherings, playing cards, bowling, working on puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, exploring new places and cultures, and creating lasting memories along the way. Holidays at the cabin, surrounded by children and grandchildren, were among her most cherished moments.
Evelyn lived a full and remarkable life, forming lifelong friendships and raising two wonderful children who grew into accomplished and caring adults, pursuing their passions and building families of their own.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin; her daughter, Juanita; her parents, Paul and Elsa Heinrich; and her brothers, Ernie and Lory.
She is survived by her devoted son, Keith Walsh and daughter-in-law Cynthia; her son-in-law Mark Rowan; four grandchildren, Mathew Walsh (Donna), Lucas Walsh (Carrie), Tonya Haendel and Deena Bremer (Charlie); and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy.
In accordance with Evelyn’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.
Evelyn’s legacy is one of love, strength, warmth, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
