Gerald "Gerry" Louis Miller Jr.

Gerald Louis Miller Jr. age 60 of Fox Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Gerald was born on January 20, 1965, in Port Edwards, WI, son of Gerald and Shirley (Bieschke) Miller. He was united in marriage to Rachel Vander Velde on July 9, 2011, in Randolph, WI. Gerry was a dedicated hard worker who always put in the effort to support those around him. Known for his kindness and willingness to help others in times of need, Gerry had a big heart and was very protective of his family. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, a hobby that brought great joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his strong work ethic and his love for his family and friends.

Gerry is survived by his wife, Rachel Miller; two sons, Jesse Miller and Lucas (Jessica) Vander Velde; five grandchildren, Isabelle, Aaron, Theodore, William and Amelia; his brothers, Greg and Robert Miller; mother, Shirley Miller; aunt, Jeanette Bieschke; father-in-law, Arnold Vander Velde; in-laws, Simone Vander Velde and Shawn Vander Velde; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Miller, mother-in-law, Audrey Vander Velde and sister-in-law, Shelley Schaver.

A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at a later date.
