Grace Victoria Eager

Grace Victoria Eager, age 94 of Randolph, passed away peacefully at the Randolph Health Services, on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Grace was born in Beaver Dam on February 8, 1932, daughter of James and Bernice (Lemiesz) Wanilista. She was united in marriage to Mervin Eager on April 24, 1954, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake. Grace graduated from Randolph High School in the Class of 1949. After completing her education, she devoted her working years to working with her husband on the family farm, and her community, spending 14 years at Randolph Piggly Wiggly, followed by another 14 years at Hoekstra's Market and Greenhouse, where she was known for her friendly smile. Throughout her working years, she balanced her responsibilities with her devotion to her family, always ensuring their needs were met with warmth and support.

Grace had a variety of hobbies that brought her happiness, including knitting, playing cards, enjoying music and going on road trips. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake for many years. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Grace is survived by three children: Suzanne Eager, Dennis (Sandra) Eager, and Timothy (Brenda) Eager; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin; a son, Randall Eager; and a granddaughter, Jodi deVries; six sisters, Eleanor Rake, Anna Tibbetts, Rosemary Hrobsky, Francis Rahn, Theresa Mitzelfeldt, and Lucille Wilde.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Annunciation Catholic Church, 305 Green Street, Fox Lake, WI 53933, with Fr. Thomas Naidu officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service following. Burial will take place in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery in Randolph.
