Jerome David Brotz, age 79, of Randolph, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jerry was born on July 7, 1946, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Harry and Irene (Abraham) Brotz. He was a graduate of Randolph High School, class of 1965. Jerry proudly served during the Vietnam War, spending time in both Milwaukee and Italy. On July 2, 1994, he was united in marriage to Rae Ann Bluse at Frieden’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Randolph, Wisconsin. Jerry dedicated 40 years of his life working for Research Products in Madison until retirement in 2011. Outside of work and service, Jerry found joy in several hobbies. He loved to spend time on the golf course, enjoyed bowling, and had a passion for motorcycles.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and a love for the simple pleasures in life. His memory will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Rae Brotz; his sister, Ruth Schultz; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Paul) Gulan, Joanne (Sonny) Oratch and Suzanne Flateau; special nephew, Ron Brotz; and faithful companion Cookie. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Clayton and Elizabeth Bluse; brothers, Donald (Marge) Brotz and Peter Brotz; sister-in-law, Dianne (Robert) Hanson; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Schultz and Richard Flateau.

Per Jerry’s wishes, he was cremated and a Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held in the summer.
