Mabel Hafenstein
Mabel Gladys Hafenstein, age 88 of Randolph, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Randolph Health Services.
Mabel was born on June 30, 1930, a daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Ryan) Searvogel. She was united in marriage to Edwin R. Hafenstein on April 29, 1952, in Lost Lake, WI. Mabel worked at Ripon Knitting (McGregors) in Waupun for 25 years, retiring from Jaxco Glove Factory in Rio in 1996. She loved to read and do needlepoint. Mabel was a member of the Lost Lake Historical Society and Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake.
Mabel is survived by her son, Edwin A. Hafenstein of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Jean Bahr of Fall River and Barbara (Jim) Harrigan of Beaver Dam; brother, Robert (Scharleen) Searvogel of Beaver Dam; sister-in-law, Bev Searvogel of Waupun; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by, her husband, Edwin in 2004; parents, two sisters, Isabelle (Francis) Neuman and Joan (Harley) Miller; two brothers, Edward Michael, in infancy and James Searvogel; a godchild, Julie Harrigan; sisters-in-law, Helen Searvogel, Esther Hafenstein, Ruby Bahr-Birkenstock, Freida Hafenstein and Sylvia Gutzman; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Florine) Hafenstein, Wayne Bahr and Albert Hafenstein, in infancy.
Visitation for Mabel will be from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Annunciation Catholic Parish, 305 West Green Street, Fox Lake.
A funeral mass for Mabel will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Annunciation Catholic Parish with Rev. John Radetski officiating. Burial to follow at Annunciation Catholic Cemetery of Lost Lake.
A memorial fund has been established in Mabel’s name.
