Marilyn Jean Raddatz, age 94 of Waupun, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Waupun Christian Home and Rehabilitation.
Marilyn was born on January 21, 1931, in Waupun, daughter of Avery and Esther (Hasenfus) Lawrence. She graduated from Waupun High School, class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Marvin Raddatz on August 16, 1952, at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. Marilyn worked at Canned Foods Inc. for 5 years and later at Moorman’s Manufacturing for 26 years. She was also an accomplished organist and shared her musical talents with many throughout her life. Her commitment to her faith was evident as she served as Parish Secretary at Pella Lutheran Church for 10 years. She was a lifelong member of Pella Lutheran Church, baptized and confirmed in the church, values that remained central to her throughout her life.
Marilyn will be fondly remembered for the many roles she played in the lives of those around her. Marilyn was known for her loving and caring personality, finding joy in her family and the moments spent with them. She had a passion for knitting, creating keepsakes that will be cherished by her loved ones for years to come.
Marilyn is survived by her five daughters, Pat (Roger) Reifsnider, Barb (Lester) Marx, Nancy (Maynard) Cox, Sue Hull and Mary Raddatz- Mariani; ten grandchildren, Andrea Bulgrin, Amanda Corning, Michael Marx, Samantha Marx-Kumar, Matthew Cox, Marcus Cox, Megan Fischer, Andrew Hull, Nathan Schouten and Aaron Schouten; eleven great grandchildren and her sister, Marjorie Peachey; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Calvin Hull; sister, Annabelle (Virgil) Martinson and her brother, Durwood (Betty) Lawrence.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Pella Lutheran Church 315 South Madison Street Waupun, WI 53963.
A funeral service for Marilyn will follow at 11:00 a.m. at church with Pastor David Knuth officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery.
