Mark Leroy Fish, born February 19, 1945, died February 21 st , 2019, after a long battle with heart disease.
He was born in Sauk County to Gaby (Wohling) and Arthur L. Fish, Sr. Mark was born into a large family eventually having 5 brothers and 8 sisters. During his childhood he loved hunting and fishing with his dog by his side, many times providing meat for the dinner table. He and his family did many different jobs including farming, ditching and drainage, blacktop sealing and barn demolition to name a few. Mark may have struggled physically all his life, but he never lost his sense of humor. When Mark died and came back to life, he wrote a book “My Walk with Jesus,” which chronicles many of his adventures he had.
Mark lived in many different places in Wisconsin including Reedsburg, Janesville, Rock Springs, Baraboo, Madison, Mauston and lastly Waupun. He was never lonely wherever he lived, and would pull people into his universe with his laugh and smile. He could always be counted on for a great story. You could also count on Mark to get up early and go to McDonald’s for coffee, to read his Bible. He came to know many people this way and many people came to hear his story of his experiences in heaven.
