Markesan

Pamela Kay "Pam" McDougal, 69, of Markesan passed away on August 17, 2026 at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

She was born on December 4, 1956 in Berlin, Wisconsin to Edward and Lulu Belle "Molly" Scharf. She grew up in Markesan and graduated from Markesan High School.

Pam was a woman who cherished the simple things in life. She enjoyed crafting, spending time with her card club, fishing, watching WWE, and, most of all, making memories with her family. Those who knew her will remember her as feisty, generous, loving, and quietly caring. Her strength, humor, and devotion to those she loved left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Pam worked as a seamstress at PGI before retiring in 2026. She took pride in her work and valued the friendships she made throughout her career.

Pam is survived by her children, Nikki (Joey Kurowski) McDougal, Katrina (Dean Reiners) Kurowski, and Andrew (Hannah Muraski) Jones; her grandchildren, MistyLynn, Miranda, and Lucy Boswell, Keagan Kurowski, Ethan Barker, Damian Moreland and Mackenzie (Justice) Mikkelson; great-grandchildren, Lillian, RayLynn, Violet and Clover Mikkelson and one great-grandchild expected soon; her siblings, Dawn (John) Stanonik, Chris (Jacque) Scharf, and Brenda (Rich) Waters; her niece, Johnna Stanonik; and so many friends and former co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her partner, Edgar Jones; her parents, Edward and Lulu Belle "Molly" Scharf; and her sister & brother-in-law, Debra (Brad) Butschlick.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Soldiers & Sailors Park in Markesan. Arrangements are being handled by Markesan Community Funeral Homes.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Pam and her family during her final days.

Forever in our hearts, forever in our memories, forever loved.
