Rena Regnerus

Rena Regnerus, age 93 of Randolph, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Randolph Health Services.

Rena was born on April 21, 1925, in Sanborn, IA, a daughter of Emko and Jennie (Vegter) Rutgers. On June 18, 1947, she was united in marriage to Jacob Regnerus in Oaklawn, IL. She was a member of the Randolph Protestant Reformed Church.

Rena is survived by her 6 children, Joan Regnerus of Ft. Collins, CO, Rena Mae (Jake) Soodsma, Jack (Sue) Regnerus, Evelyn (Steve) Oosterhouse, Rich (Janice) Regnerus and Sandee (Norbert) Alsum all of Randolph, WI; 16 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Wilmina Lanting of South Holland, IL, Connie (George) Vroom of Randolph, WI, and Emma (Martin) De Vries of Walker, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake; her parents; 2 brothers, Harry (Sue) Rutgers and William Rutgers; 3 sisters, Tillie (Jake) Fischer, Hilda (Hank) Zandstra and Joan (Bill) Buiter.

A funeral service for Rena will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Randolph Protestant Reformed Church, 229 Hammond Street, following a private family burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Randolph Faith Christian School.
