Ricky Gene Boomsma

Ricky Gene Boomsma, age 67, of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at home.

Rick was born on April 23, 1958, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the son of Harry and Charlotte (Zuhlke) Boomsma. He was a dedicated employee at Enerpac in Columbus, where he worked for 42 years. Rick was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job.

In his younger years, he enjoyed carpentry and scuba diving, showcasing his love for building and exploring. He found joy in simple pleasures like car rides, often taking the long way home to soak in the scenery. Music was a significant part of Rick’s life, with a particular fondness for Tom Petty.

Rick loved the great outdoors, especially camping and grilling out, often spending relaxing moments sitting on the deck. He had a knack for fixing things and was always busy working on projects around the house. Breakfast with the boys was a cherished routine, and he adored every moment spent with his family, which remained his top priority throughout his life. His love for them was evident in everything he did. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rick is survived by his children, Jennifer Boomsma and Jacob (Diana) Boomsma; grandchildren, Atreyu and Murphy Lukowski, Vaughn Voelker, Deakin and MacKenzie Boomsma; siblings, Gary (Laurie) Boomsma, Randy (Judy) Boomsma, Bonnie (Raymond Merrihew) Boomsma and Kim Boomsma; and special cousin Kathy Koepke. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Cody Lukowski.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 South High Street, Randolph, WI 53956.

A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Randolph Community Funeral Home.
