Robert John Wendlandt, age 99 of Randolph passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Randolph Health Services.
Robert was born on January 17, 1926, in Randolph, WI, son of John and Olga (Bauer) Wendlandt. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Kluge on September 24, 1947, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Township of Trenton. Bob dedicated his life to his farm, which he cherished deeply. He was a proud and hardworking man, embodying the spirit of dedication that comes from a life spent in agriculture. Bob took great pride in all that he did, particularly in his love for cattle dealing through Wendlandt Livestock.
Bob was known as the "pumpkin man" on Highway 73, he had a knack for connecting with others. Bob was a happy man who loved people, easily striking up conversations with just about anyone he met. His warm personality drew others in and created lasting friendships.
Bob's love for his family was immense, and he enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was tending to his beloved farm or simply mowing the lawn. His life was filled with simple joys and a passion for the land he cultivated. He was a lifelong member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Kristine Sebert of Princeton; Phyllis (Thomas) Eilbes of Beaver Dam; a son, David (Lois) Wendlandt of Randolph; four grandchildren, Carolyn (Joshua) Huenink, Timothy (Tammy) Eilbes, Kyle (Jessica) Wendlandt and Jordan (Megan) Wendlandt; seven great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Kristyn, Ben, Anna, Aaliyah, Brynlee and Jace; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; son-in-law, Thomas Sebert and his sister, Jane (Allen) Thieleke; sister-in-law, Irene (Harold) Christian; other friends and relatives.
A visitation for Bob will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church 335 Jones Drive, Randolph, WI.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at church with Rev. Anthony Straseske officiating. Burial will take place at Randolph Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church 335 Jones Drive, Randolph, WI 53956 and Randolph Cambria-Friesland FFA 110 Meadowood Drive Randolph, WI 53956.
