Sharon Ann Sorensen

Sharon Ann Sorensen, age 79 of Beaver Dam, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.

Sharon was born on February 8, 1946, in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of Dale and Florence (Nicolson) Petersen. She was a kind, caring, and giving person whose life was dedicated to her faith, family and community.

Sharon graduated from Princeton Minnesota and married her high school sweetheart, Richard Sorensen, on December 29, 1967. She continued her education for two years at Chicago Nursing School, but her heart led her to serve others in many different capacities throughout her life. For many years, she worked as a church secretary at Randolph Evangelical Free Church, where she cherished being a part of her church community. Additionally, she worked part-time as a bookkeeper and parts runner for Rich's Rig Repair business and also part time for Jung Seed company.

A true volunteer at heart, Sharon gave her time to the local food pantry and the Salvation Army. Her faith was very important to her, and she lived it out by teaching the children's choir and participating in the Good News Club, helping to instill values in young hearts.

In her leisure time, Sharon enjoyed counted cross stitch, painting, and sewing. She had a fierce competitive spirit when it came to playing dominos and loved working on puzzles and board games with her family and friends. Camping and traveling brought her immense joy, especially spending precious moments with her grandchildren and visiting out-of-state relatives.

Sharon’s proudest accomplishment was becoming a child of God at a young age and raising her family to believe in God as well. She will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family and friends. Sharon’s legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Sharon is survived by her husband Rich Sorensen of 58 years; her daughter Monica (John) Osterhaus of Chadwick, Il and her son, Scott (Megan) Sorensen of Beaver Dam; four grandchildren, Alan, Natalie and Racheal Osterhaus and Ella Sorensen; her brother Randy and (Lowana) Petersen of New Hope, Texas; in-laws, Sharon (Al), Mary (Dennis) and Tim (Judy); further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law; Bonnie.

Visitation for Sharon will be held from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Edgewood Community Church 1209 West Circle Drive, Beaver Dam, WI 53916. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Church with Bill Zuhlke officiating.
