Susan "Sue" Elaine DeVries

Susan Elaine DeVries, age 81 of Randolph, passed away at her residence and went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Susan was born on October 1, 1944, in Randolph, daughter of Harry and Jessie (Syens) DeVries. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1962. Sue was united in marriage to Theodore DeVries on September 5, 1964.

She dedicated 18 years of her life working at Jungs Seed Company. Sue also served as a housekeeper at Randolph Health Services, known as Randolph Continental Manor, where she was known for her caring nature. In her free time, Sue enjoyed gardening, working on her yard, and spending time with family and friends. Sue also had a great love of Christmas. Creating traditions for her friends and family was something that Sue did really well over the holidays. She enjoyed going on several bus trips to different places in America each year and enjoyed spending time with the group of friends that took these trips together. One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her great-grandson Levi Minnig. Their bond was a truly special one that was evident for all to see.

She was a member of First Reformed Church of Randolph. Sue had a great love for the Lord and her family. She shared that love and faith with all of her friends and family. She was there for everyone, whether it be sending a card or message when people were experiencing a difficult time, or listening when someone needed good advice. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

Sue leaves behind her two sons, Ken DeVries and Tony (Julie) DeVries, as well as her daughter, Amanda DeVries. She was a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, Nolan, Dylan, and Abby, and a cherished great-grandmother to Aubrey and Levi. Further survived by, Frank (Marie) DeVries, Hank (Barb) DeVries, Morry (Arlene) DeVries; sisters-in-law, Patricia DeVries and Hilda DeVries; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ted DeVries in 2011; her daughter Carmen in infancy, parents, brother, Frank (Alice) DeVries and Jerry (Nancy) DeVries; brothers-in-laws, John (Nettie) DeVries, Gerald DeVries, Martin (Emma) DeVries, Don DeVries and Jim (Shirley) DeVries.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at First Reformed Church 406 South High Street, Randolph, WI 53956.

A funeral service for Sue will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at church with Pastor Luke Baehr officiating. Burial will take place at Randolph Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be established to the Randolph Pool Fund in memory of Susan DeVries.
