Terry Allen Cabot

Terry Allen Cabot, age 65 of Markesan, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at SSM Health St Mary's Hospital in Madison.

Terry was born on October 14, 1960, in Illinois, son of Jack and Sharon (Jancke) Cabot. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Carey on February 16, 1979, in Freeport, IL. Terry was a caring man who spent much of his life engaged in his work and hobbies. Together with his wife Elizabeth, who is now deceased, owned and operated Cabot’s Lake House Motel. He also operated the Hitching Post in Manchester for several years. He was an avid Bears fan, Terry loved watching the games and enjoying the company of others at the Hitching Post. In his earlier years, he found pleasure in camping and ice fishing—activities he enjoyed with family and friends, creating many happy memories.

Terry is survived by his son, Todd (Christine) Cabot; his five grandchildren, Olivia, Kaitlin, Brielle, Amelia, and Isabella; his mother, Sharon Cabot; his sisters, Tina Chamberlin and Teresa Simmons; and his brother-in-law, Colin (Diane) Carey; further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Cabot; his father, Jack Cabot; and brothers-in-law, John Chamberlin and Scott Simmons.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 -2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Markesan Community Funeral Home 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan, WI.
