Terry Lee Kind

Terry Lee Kind, of Waupun, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the age of 73.

Terry was born on April 15, 1953, son of Leroy and Violet (Carroll) Kind. He graduated from Sheboygan High School, class of 1971. Terry was a proud business owner of Kind Mudjacking L.L.C. He also enriched the lives of countless students as a technology teacher at Horicon High School, instilling not only practical skills but a passion for learning. Known as the "fix it man," Terry naturally gravitated toward helping others and was always ready to offer his knowledge to anyone desiring guidance or support.

Terry was an avid hunter and fisherman; he found peace in nature and the great outdoors. He especially cherished time spent in the Northwoods at the family cottage, places that became the settings for many treasured memories with family and friends. Terry was a devoted member of Pella Lutheran Church, his faith and steady presence left a lasting imprint on those who worshipped alongside him.

Terry is survived by Laurie Kind, his son, Jesse (Stephanie) Kind, two daughters, Rebecca (James) Buchda and Sarah Kind; eight grandchildren, Meghan (Samm), Alex, Carson, Oliver, Claire, Finn, Emelia, and Mollie; two great-grandchildren, Adeline and Kipp; his siblings, Kathy (James) Kind-Keppel, Tom (Dawn) Kind, and Tracy Kind. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Timothy Kind.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street, Waupun, WI 53963.

The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor David Knuth officiating. A memorial fund has been established in Terry’s name to be decided at a later date.
