William "Bill" Cunningham

William R. Cunningham “Bill” age 92, was called to his Eternal Home on June 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born February 6, 1933, in Walworth WI the son of LaVerne and Hazel (Welch) Cunningham. He and his beloved wife, Peg, were married for 67 years before her passing.

Bill was a proud dairy farmer for many years and was actively involved in the Red and White Dairy Association. He had a deep love for his dairy cows, cheered for Wisconsin sports and most of all, cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. His passion for showing cows at county fairs became a cherished family tradition, proudly carried on by both his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Steve (Lois) Cunningham, New London, WI, Donny (Audrey) Cunningham, Beloit, WI, Jeff (Linda) Cunningham, Cambria, WI, Marie (Eric) Jensen, Nashville, TN, Mark Cunningham, Juneau, WI, Jon (Karen) Cunningham, Waupun, WI. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Shelly Cunningham, Shaun Cunningham, Sheila (Mike) Thomson, Cary (Derek) Christianson, Daniel (Marie) Cunningham, Christopher (Tiffany) Cunningham, Reed Cunningham, Sadie (Andy) Fischer, Alec, McKenna and Ethan Cunningham and by 14 great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his sister Linda Adkins, brothers Kenneth Cunningham and Jack (Sandy) Cunningham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Clearview, especially the EF2 team, for the exceptional care Bill received. Special gratitude is also given to his daughter-in-law, Karen Cunningham and granddaughter McKenna Cunningham, who were also instrumental in his care as part of the Clearview staff.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 3:00pm Monday, June 30, 2025, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main Street, Waupun, WI.
